Before beginning any sort of treatment, you’ll start with a consultation with our physician, who will take a look at the affected area and discuss your issues and concerns with your spider veins. We’ll then help you decide which option is best for you or determine if a combination of both is appropriate.
We Offer Two Treatments For Spider Veins:
SCLEROTHERAPY
This treatment uses a special solution that is injected directly into the vein, causing it to shrink. This forces the blood that would normally flow through this vein to reroute to larger, healthier veins. The shrunken vein is then absorbed into nearby tissue and fades, eliminating the appearance of the discolored lines on the surface of the skin.
LASER THERAPY
This can also be used to treat spider veins, as skin care professionals can direct powerful laser light at the affected veins. The light effectively destroys the vein without damaging the skin or other tissue. Though some veins may disappear immediately after treatment, it may take 1 to 3 months to see full results. Some patients require multiple sessions to achieve optimal clearing of the skin.
