Through physical, mindful and educational learning, Ohra gives you the awareness to empower yourself while improving the lives of others.

The supportive environment of Ohra Yoga’s teacher training allows each student the space for personal growth and freedom to explore their own path within a group and the group’s 200 hour structure.

Teacher training is an incredible experience whether you decide to teach or not.  During training you will deepen your practice while embodying the flow of poses, of breath and of mindful living. The training puts all the pieces of yoga together in one place.

Our Saw Mill Club yoga rooms and facility allows the space and set up for productivity and for zen. In warmer months we are able to take our training outside on our beautiful grounds

Upon completion of the program, you will be qualified to teach yoga classes in yoga studios, gyms or privately in people’s homes, offices, community centers and other locations.

Our Director and Lead Teacher ૐ

Ohra Yoga Training @Saw Mill Club is Led by renowed yogini Michelle Briks, RYT500

Michelle has 10 years of experience teaching yoga and has received extensive training and certifications in Vinyasa and Prana flow styles, Anatomy and Ayurvedic Yoga therapy.

Designing yoga experiences that empower her students through intention and mindful awareness, Michelle integrates flow, breath work, alignment and the chance to connect and fly in each one of her classes.  She inspires her students to find space to grow into the next level of their practice, no matter where their start point may be.

She is passionate about empowering others to increase their strength and grace and get inspired through the practice and teachings of yoga. She is moved by witnessing her students and teacher trainees’ growth and transformation as they connect deeper with their inner light.

 Curriculum Highlights 

Intro:

   How to cue proper alignment of the yoga postures

   Step-by-step break down of yoga postures, flow, and all of their specific benefits

   How to effectively use props

   Learning the proper technique for hands-on-assists

   Daily guided practice of Asana (posture) and alignment technique.

Mind & Spirit:

   History of yoga

   The 8-limbed path

   Introduction to pranayama and meditations

   Body energy: including chakras, nadis, vayus

   Incorporating all aspects of Ayurveda into your lifestyles and yoga practice

   Applied anatomy, physiology, kinesiology as it relates to yoga

Starts March 6th, 2017

  • Meets 2-3 days per week 9:30am-4pm
  • 4 month program
  • Perfect for those with a flexible schedule that have commitments on evenings and weekends

Summer Immersion ૐ

Starts July 6th, 2017

  • Meets Monday – Friday
  • Monday – Wednesday 12-8, Thursday 11-7. Friday 9:30-5:30
  • 4.5 week program
  • Perfect for those with free time in the summer who want to immerse themselves in the yoga life

Fall/Winter Program ૐ

Coming October 2017

  • Meets 7 weekends and 12 weeknights
  • 4.5 month program to maximize effectiveness, continuity and experience of the program
  • Perfect for those who work during the weekdays
  • Program meets every other weekend and there are no meetings on holiday weekends
