Sacred Space.
Wikipedia defines sacred space as, ” being set apart to pursue (or to already have achieved) a sacred state or goal, such as Nirvana. It is often ascribed to people, objects, times, or places.
If it’s been a while since you pushed yourself up off the floor in a chatturanga (yogic push up) or felt the space between your shoulder blades (energetically speaking), it may be time to take that huge leap into the often neglected Self and roll out a yoga mat in the old racquetball court cum yoga studio now known as Studio C.

What might your opened third eye see in studio C? Upon entering, one is greeted with the simple symbol of change, balance, and harmony: a circle. An architectural wall with a 6 foot circular recess, this wall serves as a beautiful focal point and inspiration in your practice. In addition to the beautifully refinished and immaculately maintained hardwood floors, insulated and sound proofed ceilings, a freshly tweaked sound system, quality controllable lighting, and instant command heat/cool thermostats for proper temperatures, the space has one more feature. Or, lack thereof. You won’t any longer find…shoes, dirty mats, cluttered props.
In order to keep the Sacred Space of Studio C the perfect nest to find your Inner Sacred Space, props, mats, shoes, and personal belongings are now housed just outside this lower level studio (just down the hall from the women’s locker rooms) space in cubbies. Please be supportive of one another and of the club’s new policy to keep this space a haven for personal growth and deeper understanding of the traditions of Yoga.
