Greetings to all! The weather is warming up and soon the butterflies will be out. The caterpillars have arrived and are busy making their cocoons. We will be learning about (and observing) the life cycle of butterflies. The children will get to see the caterpillars form chrysalis and come out as beautiful butterflies. When the butterflies are old enough the class will set them free on the playground. This activity is always a big hit with the children. They will also be learning about the lifecycle of frogs. We will be reading stories and singing songs to go along with the changes of Spring.
On Friday May, 7th the mothers are invited for our Mothers Day celebration. The students are working hard making presents and cards. They will be singing a song and reciting a poem. There will be an invitation sent to you with the time and location.

| We will be completing the alphabet this month, and numbers 8-10. We will spend this month talking about our season of Spring, how we will be spending our summer vacation, as well as preparing for our Moving Up Ceremony.
Our Mother’s Day Celebration will be on Friday May 7th at 11:00am in our classroom. The children will be singing you a song, followed by refreshments. We hope to see you all there.
School will be closed Monday May 31 for Memorial Day. Our last day of school will be Wednesday June 2. We invite you to join us that day for our Moving Up Ceremony. It will begin at 11:00am in Studio A. The children will sing songs, and receive a Certificate of Completion for the Adventurer’s class.
It has been a pleasure working with your children this year! We hope you enjoy your summer! |

| Dear Parents,
I really cannot believe this is our last newsletter of the year! Your children have grown and learned so much this year and we are so proud of them.
In May we will learn the letter Z, the color pink and numbers 9 and 10. We will also learn about flowers, Mother’s Day and butterflies.
The Mother’s Day Celebration is Friday, May 7th at 11:00am in our classroom.
There is no school on Monday, May 31st – Memorial Day.
The last day of school is Wednesday, June 2nd.

May will be a fun month. The color for this month is blue and we will be reviewing the alphabet and numbers 1-20.
Don’t forget to check out the window to Lynn’s office – our class projects will be displayed.
We are having a Mother’s Day celebration in our classroom on May 7th at 11:00am. All moms, grandmas, aunts and nannies are invited.
On Monday, May 31st school will be closed.
The weather is warmer so we will be ending most of our days in the back playground (weather permitting).
